It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Coates (Valrico, Florida), born in Plant City, Florida, who passed away on November 18, 2018, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lennie Lou Timberlake Thomas and John Franklin Thomas. She is survived by: her child Richard H. Coates; her grandchildren, Rick Coates (Mary Anne), Rhonda Noland (Ron), Marilou Grimes (Fred), Brenda Gamberton (Jim) and Karen Tucker (Harvey); her sister-in-law Alice Thomas Hedrick; and also Ida Coates Palmer. She is also survived by eight great-grandsons; and four great-great grandchildren; dearly beloved sister.
