He was predeceased by: his father Wesley R. Collins; and his brother David. He is survived by: his mother Lois E. Collins (Bennett); his wife Brenda K. Bennett; his sons, Ryan Collins (Kattie) and Jon Collins (Tara); his grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, Jordan, Lindsi and Matthew Collins; his sister-in-law Kathy Collins; his niece Sarah Schmeer (Peter); and his nephew Ben Collins.
A memorial fund has been established for the La Harpe Christian Church or Moffitt Cancer Center.
