He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franklin Goza and Alma Goza; and his son Marvin Wacaser. He is survived by: his close friend Alan Moffitt; his wife Lee Anne Goza; and his children, John Larry Goza Jr. (Sandra), Melvin Wacaser (Gina), Sherri Caulder (Jerry) and Missy Wacaser. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren, as well as multiple siblings.
