She was predeceased by: her parents, Martha Lou Francis Wheelers and Alpha James Foreman; her husband Joseph Wayne Bowman; and her sister Martha Lou Carter. She is survived by: her brother James Foreman of Huntsville, Alabama; her nephews, James C. Carter, Robert F. Carter, Thomas M. Carter, Kenneth G. Carter and James G. Foreman; and her niece Tamara F. Rivera.
