He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Hooks and Thelma E. Hooks; and his brother Phillip D. Hooks. He is survived by: his daughter Rebekah Jackson; his brothers, Jimmy C. Hooks and Bobby H. Hooks; his granddaughters, Octavia Hooks, Drucilla Hooks and Tiara Hooks; and his great grandchildren, Jaden Taylor, Andromeda Remel and Elianna Guerrero.
