He was predeceased by: his daughters, Cathy Chaney Holland and Micha Chaney Skipper; and his former wife Irene Chaney. He is survived by: his wife Martha; his children, Steven Chaney (Melinda) and Kristi Chaney Smith; and his stepdaughters, Linda Aughinbaugh (Dennis), Ginger Stearns (Les) and Judy Nocks (Scott). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Villages Hospice House at 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162.
