He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Rigdon and Anna Belle Rigdon; his siblings, William Rigdon and Kathryn Bobo Williams; and his son-in-law Brian L. Hanawalt.

He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, William Rigdon (Sheri) of Charleston, SC, Lisa Hanawalt of Leesburg, FL, Richard Rigdon (Carla) of Eustis, FL and Dianne Dwyer (Ted) of Leesburg, FL; his grandchildren, Sean Dwyer (Courtney), Nilus Hanawalt (Courtney), Stephen Rigdon, Brea Dwyer (Devin), Krysten Rigdon, Reagan Hanawalt and Shea Dwyer; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Falynn and Harper.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests.
