He was predeceased by: his parents, Barnum Sockness and Ilabell Hyland; and his siblings, Jerry Sockness, Terry Sockness and Belinda Perez.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Hera Sockess; his children, Gary Sockness Jr. of Cornell, WI and Marsha Musick (Daron) of Warrenton, NC; his grandson Weslaf Sockness of Leesburg, FL; his siblings, Larry Sockness (Gloria) of Cornell, WI, Daniel Liddell of Iola, TX, Debby Mikula (Arnie) of Spirit Lake, ID, Patti Ehlert (Roy) of Medford, WI, Rebecca Liddell of Stetsonville, WI and Roberta Williams (Lynn) of Iola, TX.; and his aunt Olga Zwiefel of Cornell, WI. He is also survived by many brother and sister in laws and nieces and nephews.
