He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Herschel and Orah Powers; his sister Doris Bronson; his first love Shirley Powers; and his grandson Tyler Bryan.
He is survived by: his brother L. Hughes Powers of Umatilla, FL; his children, Melanie Bryan (Robbie Caldwell) of Umatilla, FL, Michael Powers (Joy) of Umatilla, FL, Kevin Powers of Umatilla, FL and Timothy Powers (Mandy) of Patterson, GA.; and his grandchildren, William, Brian, Lindsey, Aimee, Ryan, Chandler, David, Molly, Kiana, Carson, Makala, Timmy and Annie. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
