She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Pope and Gussie Pope; her husband B. J. Simpson; and her siblings, J. W. Pope, John Pope and Kathleen McElroy.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Simpson, Sr. (Merry) of Bell, Gale Kidd of Clearwater and Karen Mowrey of Trenton; her grandchildren, Douglas Simpson, Jr. (Cindy) and Kayla Simpson; her great grandchild Douglas Simpson, III; and her siblings, Alfred Pope of Lake City, Mildred Hurst of Trenton, Clyda Mae Hilliard of Bell and Marcile Coyer of Trenton.
