He was predeceased by: his father Leonard Anthony Gaines Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Williams; his children, Kianna Williams Thompson (Vale), Kayla Roper and Quincy Roper; his sister Cheryl Howard (Keith); his niece Nyanna Williams; his great-niece Skylen; his grandchild Micah Thompson; and his cousins, Michelle and Larry Askew.
After moving to Trenton in 2015 in a long engagement they were married during a pandemic in 2021, Marcus and Sharon union was performed by pastor Frank James at Bethel AME Church of Trenton, FL and witness by members Stanley and Gladys McHenry as Marcus and Sharon shared 12 years together; they were inseparable.
