He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kinsey; his siblings, Joye Woodall and Gary Kinsey; his children, Laura Kinsey of James Kinsey, III, Julie Rudolfer, Steve Penton and Jeff Penton; his grandchildren, Courtney, Haileigh, Riley, Arianne, Alexis, Amanda, Rianon, Jack and Molly; his great grandchildren, Anastasia, Braden, Bryson, Cooper, Harper and Emilia; and his pet Katie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
