He was predeceased by: his mother Carolyn Sayer; and his grandmother Thelma England. He is survived by: his children, Renee Hawkins, Onna Cobb Humphrey, Quinton Hawkins and William Yeary; and his siblings, Tina Ringham, Debra Huesman and Ricky Ricks. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
