Ralph Rowe Obituary
Ralph V. (Mick) Rowe, 90 years old, of Titusville, FL, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022. He was born on January 23, 1932, in Mexico, PA (Juniata County) to Ralph P. and Beulah (Burris) Rowe. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and served on the U.S.S. Franklin D. Roosevelt aircraft carrier during the Korean War.
He traveled the world extensively beginning with his miliary service and extending into his 33-year civilian career which began with RCA International as a manager in support of the NASA space program. He was assigned to the radar tracking of the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo space missions while living in the Bahamas and Caribbean. His other assignments took him to South Africa, Greenland, Alaska, and the Florida Keys.
Mick was a loving follower of his Lord Jesus Who was his first love. He was a church elder and adult Sunday School teacher at Abundant Life Fellowship in Titusville for 36 years. He ended his earthly church membership at Victorious Living Christian Center, loved by everyone and considered a true man of God. His service to his church family was boundless through his ministries. He was always willing to help those in need or who were struggling in crisis.
Mick was an athlete. As a young man he was a stand-out football and baseball player, having played third base and pitcher in semi-pro baseball in Pennsylvania. He enjoyed all sports especially golf, tennis, and softball. He was a huge IRL car racing fan and Penn State Nittany Lions and Pittsburgh Steelers football fan. He was an avid sportsman and especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, and diving.
Mick was a family man. He loved his wife, Norma, with all his heart, his daughter Andrea and son Tony. He would do anything for them. His extended family included six brothers and sisters, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Mick was preceded in death by his brothers Charles and Larry and sister Peggy. He is survived by his wife, Norma; brother John Rowe and sisters Betty Landis and Ginny McGarvey; daughter Andrea Abdullah (Bill) of Charleston, SC, and son Tony Rowe (Mary Jean) of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren Evan, Ryan, and Eric Abdullah; and Anthony, Kimberly, and Daniel Rowe; and great-grandchildren Zachary and Tommy Rowe.
A Graveside Service with military honors will be on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 10 AM at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Titusville.
