He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wardman and Eloise Wardman; his son John Murphy Wardman, Jr.; and his brother William "Bill" Wardman, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his daughters, Stephanie Parker (Gene "Calvin") of Titusville, FL, Julee Garrett (Bryant) of Naples, FL, Tracie Flemming (Ken) of Titusville, FL and Johna Porter (Tim); his grandchildren, Kira, Skylar, Jessica, Katelyn, Samuel, Jonathan, Hannah, Hope, Nicholas and Kaitlin; and his great grandchildren, Kiana, Phinley, Archer, Kassidy and Paisley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the U.S. Space Walk of Fame Museum or Christ Community Church in memory of John Murphy Wardman.
