He was predeceased by: his parent Hollis Neal; and his son Christopher Neal. He is survived by: his mother Gladys Neal; his children, Heidi Kenney (Patrick), Gary Neal (Casey), Joseph Neal (Allisha), Jennifer Petelle and Michael Neal; his grandchildren, Ozias Neal, Joseph Kenney, Donovan Neal, Henry Kenney, Aubrie Neal, Everett Kenney, Peyton Neal, Zach Duranczyk and Camden Duranczyk; and his siblings, Diana Gratton (William) and David Neal (Janice). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“I first met Gary in 1973. He was one of my very best friends for those 50 years. Gary and I played softball together in the 1970's and 1980's. Gary was a big NFL fan. He was a Cleveland Browns fan and I was a Miami Dolphins fan. Every season we would have a friendly banter back and fourth about our teams. Gary was a very thoughtful and caring person. In 1991 when my dad died, Gary was the first person to come to the house with a condolence gift. You will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Gary.”
