He was predeceased by: his father James F. Helsel; and his brothers, Randy and Rick. He is survived by: his mother Marilyn J. Shepard (Riggle); his father-in-law Dennis of Titusville, FL; his significant other Nancy Fox of Titusville; his children, Jennifer Marquardt (David) of Titusville, FL and Matthew Helsel (Christine) of Titusville, FL; his grandchildren, Kara, Ava and Atlas; and his sister Karen Butler (Gary) of Titusville.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Donald's honor to Brevard Veterans Coalition.
