“Charles was the epitome of a Southern Gentleman and a Christ-follower -wise and intelligent, kind and loving to all. He was a mentor to my husband Mark and I for nearly 40 years. We loved him. He was our “young marrieds” group leader/mentor in the mid-1980s at Park Avenue Church, along with his wife Mary. Charles was a spiritual father to us. He prayed for us, really listened to us, cared for us, and supported us. We mourn the loss of this bright light.”
