He was predeceased by: his parents, James Redden Ethridge (Annie) and Annie Maude (Stewart); and his sister Patsy (Otis). He is survived by: his significant other Patricia; his children, Marcedes Hofman, Terri Butman (Steve) and Arnold Cater (Jenny); his grandsons, James Stone (Janet) and Raymond Etheridge; his great grandchildren, Kirsten, Grant, Jasper, Rachel, Lizzy and Anya; his brother Charles (Linda); his niece Daphne Bulluck (Keith); his nephew James Bulluck (Crystal); and his siblings-in-law, Michael Scalise (Mimi), Nanci Nipper and Mickey Combs. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home (11005 US-301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sunset Funeral & Memory Gardens (11005 US-301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592). A reception was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Banquet Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and the Paralyzed American Veterans.
