She was predeceased by: her parents, C. J. Stanley and Florine Simmons Stanley; and her brother Ronald Stanley. She is survived by: her husband Mitch Messer; her children, Ronda Baer (Bob), Cathy Briscoe, Laurie Kidd (Ben) and Mitchell Messer (Lisa); and her sister Janis Crews. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
