He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Smith; his children, Donnie Smith, Virginia Robbins (Rusty), Cassandra Elliott (Ted), Melanie DeGarmo, James Hoffman Jr. (Brenda), Josie Flanigan (Brian) and Joe Hoffman; and his siblings, David, Roger and Winifred. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
