With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard Smith (The Villages, Florida), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Revere Paul Smith and Nellie Smith (Heaton); his wife Betsy Helen Quinn; and his siblings, Gordon Robert Smith and Betty Ann Mycock.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard A. Jr. (Mary) of Upper St, Thomas M. (Merry) of Manchester and Paul F. (Tammy) of Chesterfield, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Ryan M. Smith, Anna Barton (Benjamin), Jonathan Smith (Kelly), Elisabeth Link (James), Kayla Luther (Matthew), Kathryn Towey (Thomas), Jordan Monroe (Brendan) and Grace Smith. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hiers-Baxley Life Event Center (3975 Wedgewood Ln, The Villages, FL 32162).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society. Honor Richard Smith's memory by donating to a cause they cared about.
