He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Dunker and Uhlma Dunker (Fry); his wife Patricia; his friend Betty Ketzel; his son Steven Dunker; and his siblings, Allan, Robert, Roland and Barbara Axtell.

He is survived by: his daughter Marcia Hodson (Larry); his grandson Bill Sicke (Valeri); and his adoptive daughters, Lynn Ketzel and Diane Hoellerman (Ruthie Cauthen).
