It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvin Urquhart Ivers (The Villages, Florida), who passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Barrington Ivers and Iona May Urquhart Ivers of Brewer, ME; his brother Robert Ivers of Brewer, ME; and his granddaughter Nycolora Ivers of Bucksport, ME.. He is survived by: his wife Myrnafaye Rosemary White Ivers of The Villages, FL; his children, Heidi Goodwin (David) of Gainesville, FL and Shawn Ivers (Michelle) of Otis, ME; and his grandchildren, Tony Goodwin of Fredericksburg, VA, Carla Goodwin Kanupp of Las Cruces, NM, Zachary Ivers (Cortney) of Bucksport, ME, Courtney Meade of Bucksport, ME, Joseph Ivers of Bucksport, ME and Alyssa Sulfer (Frank) of Orland, ME. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Center (3975 Wedgewood Ln, The Villages, FL 32162). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Riverview Cemetary.
