He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse R. Lowery and Annie Liz Lowery; his wife Bea; his grandson Derrick Nixon; and his siblings, Laverne Tate and Harold Lowery.

He is survived by: his sister Barbara Whittington (Jerry) of Georgia; his children, Gary Lowery (Dianne) of Paris, TN, Karen Lowery Samples (Steve) of Tequesta, FL, Brenda Nixon (Dale) of Jacksonville Fl and Tammy Tetrault (Bill) of Port St; and his grandchildren, Brian Lowery, Nicole Willard, Rodney Scott Barkalow, Thalassa Crews, Jarrod Nixon, Heather Meyer, Amanda Villanueva and Zachary Slutsky. He is also survived by His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting. Memorial donations be made to Gideon International.
