He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Donovan Karle; his son John P. Karle, Jr.; and his siblings, Marie McCarthy and Larry Karle. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jack Pilon, Phil Pilon, Emma Ferguson, Sara Rudy, Michael Ferguson and Jack Karle; his sister Alice Cieslik; and his cousins, Mary Slawinski and Joseph Young. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
