He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Bernard and Juanita Belle Callahan (Plotner); his daughter Karen Sue Callahan; and his brother Richard A. Callahan. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Callahan; his children, Susan Nations (Don) of Sarasota, FL, Dan Callahan (Beth) of Williamsburg, KY and Greg Callahan (Christina) of Tampa, FL; his grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew (Jessica), Jordan, Aaron, Abby Nations, Carrsyn, Kayla, Zachary Callahan, Rachel and Amber Meadors; his great grandchild Kai Nations; and his siblings, Sandra Guider (Marvin) and Jim Callahan (Tina). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LifePath Hospice: Melech Hospice House or Moffitt Cancer Center.
