He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Purcell II and Marie Woods Purcell. He is survived by: his wife Martha Ann Wiggs Purcell; his sisters, Joan Purcell Bailey and Jerri Purcell Myers; his children, Patricia Purcell Kenney (Mike), Deborah Purcell Rothenberger (Dan), Barbara Purcell Bushnell and Edward Michael Purcell (Laurie); his grandchildren, Joseph Marion Purcell, Michael Purcell, Brian Rothenberger (Kate), Madison Kenney (Randy Ramos), Dylan Tozier and Allison Hoffman (MJ); and his great grandchild Noah Hoffman.
