He was predeceased by: his parents, William T. Durrett and Ruth E. Durrett (Rollison); his former wife Ada Durrett (Zimmerman); and his son David Robert Durrett. He is survived by: his wife Lois Hanson; and his children, Mike Hout (Dawn) of Miamisburg, Patti Hout of Delaware, Beth Kaltenbach (Don) of Marblehead and Suzie Nash (Carl) of Lake Worth, FL. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
