She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Haines and Elizabeth Haines; and her son-in-law Arthur Mandel (Edward Samples, Sr.). She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann (Dennis Dresson), Virginia Mandel, Theresa (Michael McCullers), Margaret (Charles Clayton), Edward Samples, Jr., Sonny (Franklin) and Brenda Samples. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and her great-great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to the Cancer Society of their choice or St. Jude.
