He was predeceased by: his father Carson Purvee; and his brothers, Carson A. Purvee, Jr., Carl A. Purvee and Larry W. Purvee. He is survived by: his mother Lois Purvee; his sons, Joshua Purvee and Leonard W. Purvee, Jr.; his brothers, Kenneth W. Purvee and Michael Purvee; his granddaughter Rebecca Purvee; and his friend Buddy Cheatum.
