He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Edward Josey Sr. and Elsie Viola Burgess; his brother William Albert Josey; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Bennett Jackson and John B. Jackson.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Ann Josey-Pletcher (David) of Inverness, FL, Bonnie Lou Josey-Bowyer (Harry) of Citrus Springs, FL, John Edward Josey of Brooksville, FL and Marion Beverly Josey-Baker (Bruce) of Bat Cave, NC; and his siblings, Jack L. Josey of Deerfield Beach, FL and Norma L. Josey-Camel (Marvin) of Tavares, FL.. He is also survived by Grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
