She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Calvin and Josephine Marie Gurley (Vaden); and her brother Calvin "Rick" Gurley. She is survived by: her daughter Carrie Kalachik (Vadim); her sister Carmen Carroll; her nephew Justin Edge (Cathy Miller); and her niece Kelly David (Brian). She is also survived by great-aunt, and her great-nieces and great-nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her honor to Foundation For Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics.
