He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman B. Merrill and Alta Dille Merrill; his wife Vici Torske Merrill; and his grandchildren, Kyle Parker and Hannah Hollibaugh.
He is survived by: his children, Lesa Merrill (John Horrocks), Becky Hollibaugh (Karl), Norman Merrill (LaDonna) and Janice Dart (Kevin); and his siblings, Kenneth Merrill, Sally Rollins and MaryAnn Walters. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
