He was predeceased by: his mother Maria Galoozis (Ypsilantis). He is survived by: his father Theofilos Galoozis; his wife Sevasti Smolios; his children, Theofilos (Alexis) and Fontaine (Peter); his grandson Mike; and his great grandchildren, George Stellas (Maria-Elena), Allie Lumpkin (Frank), Sydney Galoozis, Stephanie Stellas (Paul Comet), Peter Stellas, Mary Katherine Tangalos (Evan) and Alessia Lumpkin.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in George's memory to either St Jude's Childrens Hospital, Shriners Children's Hospital or the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society.
