It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Matteson of Tarpon Springs, Florida, born in Youngstown, Ohio, who passed away on January 17, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Robert Matteson, Jack Matteson, Sue Matteson and Betsey Bunnell; and his parents, Blanche Matteson and Elwin A. Matteson.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Francis Matteson; his children, Kathryn Ann Sutko and Jon Paul Matteson; and his grandchildren, Braxton Pierce Sutko and Aria Kay Matteson.

Dave was a Georgia Tech graduate and an extraordinary engineer who was responsible for designing complex systems with immense positive impact on the communities they supported. Although we live on the West Coast, I’m glad that over the years we shared opportunities to travel and visit with Dave and Jiggs. Dave, you will be missed. Hammond and Linda”
