He was loved and cherished by many people including: his adoptive mother Esther Johnston; his parents, Charles Johnston and Esther Johnston of Princeton, NJ; his former wife Alice Lokofsky LaRue; his children, Charles L. Johnston III (Tiziana) of Robbinsville, NJ and Michele M. Gachetti (Michael) of Hamilton, NJ; his grandchildren, Charles L. Johnston IV, Nicole Johnston (Ryan Sullivan), Brandon Johnston, Alyssa Gachetti and Michael Gachetti; and his siblings-in-law, Peggy Lokofsky Bolz and Jimmy Lokofsky. He was also cherished by numerous other family members and friends.
