“We were shocked and saddened to learn of my grandfather's passing, and of the mysterious circumstances around the entire last few months of his life. He was a lovely and very talented man, who could fix or build anything he set his mind to. He was a brilliant singer and dancer, and a kind and loving grandfather. We spoke on the phone at least 3 times a week and I dearly miss being able to hear my Granddaddy's voice. Miss you, MO.”

“He was my father and I loved him. His official Florida Death Certificate contains incorrect information given by a person unauthorized by us. I will take this opportunity to correct some of those errors. He was a World War II veteran and a proud Cuban-American. He was a widower. We are most grateful to Blount and Curry Funeral Home for contacting us since the person who claimed his body did not notify us of his passing. The coronavirus pandemic prevented us from seeing him in his last days, a tragedy endured by so many families. We pray that he Rest In Peace in the arms of his beloved wife Mattie, his mother Evangelina Otero, father Antonio Perdomo and his 7 brothers and sisters who are with him in heaven. He is survived by his daughter Marcela, his granddaughter Alexandra, his grandson Niko and his great-granddaughters Ingrid and Elsa.”
