He was predeceased by: his parents, George Mintzer and Margaret Mintzer; his wife Janice; and his brother Kenny Mintzer. He is survived by: his children, Michelle McDonald (Peter), Derek G. Mintzer Jr., Greg and Jason Olmstead; his sisters, Linda (Charlie) and Darlene (Ed); and his sister-in-law Celeste Mintzer. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
