He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelio Cernuda and Angie Cernuda. He is survived by: his wife Mary McElroy Cernuda; his daughters, Robin Cernuda Perry (Will), Meredith Cernuda Wehrell (Michael) and Lindsey Cernuda Palles (Nik); and his grandchildren, William, Mary Margaret Perry, Marshall, Stephen Echevarria, Niko, Colton, Tessa and Pippa Palles.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blount & Curry Life Event Center (605 S MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33629). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church (509 E Twiggs St, Tampa, FL 33602). A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Myrtle Hill Memorial Park (4202 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610).
