It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Mooney Lyle (Tampa, Florida), who passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Magdalene and Vinson L. Mooney; her husband James Gordon Lyle; and her siblings, Vinson Mooney, Annie Pitts, Carmel Cone, Eloise Davis, Audrey Mooney and Avis Mooney.
She is survived by: her children, Dale Edward Lyle (Kathy), Linda Lyle Spivey (Ed) and Dean Richard Lyle (Sherry); her sister Sharon Neuman (Roland); her grandchildren, Sean Kelly Spivey (Alysia), James Edward Lyle (Melissa), Lindsay Kay Hofherr (Rich), Jonathan Marshall Lyle, Amber Nicole Riddle (Mike) and Christopher Dean Lyle (Jessica); and her great grandchildren, Luke, Katie, Madison, Kaden, Logan and Ansley.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Memories Funeral Home (4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bessie's memory to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.
