He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo McCranie and Alberta McCranie; and his grandparents, Alton, Myra Hewett, John A. and Kate McCranie.

He is survived by: his sister Susie Stallings (Mike); and his nephews, Matt and Michael Stallings. He is also survived by 8 great-nephews and nieces.
