He is survived by: his wife Mary Anne Walton Shidler; and his children, Mark Shidler (Theresa), Mary "Chris" Barton (David), Marianne Clendening, Rod Kates (Amy) and Melissa Smith (Patrick). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
