He was predeceased by: his son Jimmy Moore Ellis; his siblings, Peter Ellis, Gene Smith (Betty) and Jerry Smith; and his parents, Rudolph Ellis and Hilda Ellis.
He is survived by: his wife Frances "Billie" W. Ellis; and his daughters, Oretta Gail Ellis, Jackie Ellis Elliott (Rich) and Sheila Ellis Watson (Danny). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests that donations in Steve's memory be made to Crawfordville Alcoholics Anonymous division, Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center, or St. Jude Research Facility; as he cherished these organizations dearly.
