We are sad to announce that on October 17, 2024, at the age of 87, Sandra Hancock Griffin in Tallahassee, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Bashford Hancock and Franklin Stroud Hancock; and her husband Albert Sidney Griffin, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Griffin (Frank Castaneda) of Mt. Horeb, WI, Nancy Griffin of Atlanta, GA and John Griffin (Shawna) of Wake Forest, NC.; her grandchildren, Cassandra Griffin Burke (Peter), Jake Blandford, Adam Blandford, Griffin Blandford and Christopher Griffin; her great grandchildren, Aveline and Skylar Burke; her brother-in-law John C. Griffin (Pat) of Tallahassee; and her nieces, Bonnie Sinclair (Grant) and Molly Griffin.
As a member of the DAR's Caroline Brevard Chapter, Sandra took immense pride in researching her Revolutionary ancestors and their contributions to American independence.
