It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Lawrence Swearingen of Tallahassee, Florida, who passed away on February 4, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Swearingen and Lucille Swearingen; his son Ronald J Swearingen; his siblings, Inez Goodman, Evelyn Swearingen, Clayton and Nolan Swearingen; and his nephews, Bill Goodman and Stacey Walker.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Swearingen; his sons, Rick, Rob and Tony Swearingen; his nieces and nephews, Larry Goodman, Greg Walker, Michael Moore, Joey Swearingen, Elisa McCall, Tammy Norris, Debbie Ferrell and Susan Lundberg; and his grandchildren, Brendon, Kailey and Ryan Swearingen.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crosspoint Baptist Fellowship. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Big Bend Hospice.
