He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Eugene Piland and Susan Marie Strickland Piland; his brothers, Billy Piland, Buster Piland and Rodney Daniels; and his brother-in-law Phillip Barber.
He is survived by: his wife Jan Piland; his children, Jennifer Turnbull (Jarrett), Amy Earley (Nick), Patrick Roberts (April), Chris Roberts and Carrie Roberts; his grandchildren, Gretchen Turnbull, Malorie Turnbull, Avery Turnbull, Abigail Earley, Owen Earley and Emma Roberts; and his siblings, Beverly Barber and Jackie Piland (Donna).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice.
