He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Gertrude Rush; his children, Dynitia Brimm (Rufus), Theodosia Gibbons, Phyllis Thompson (Wilbert), Juddie Gibbons, Steven Smith (Martinique), Carl Brown, Jr., Leroy, Tom (Ingrid), Anthony (Rita) and Jacob Gibbons (Rodereco); and his godsons, Erik and Roderick Gaines.
