With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnnie Auter Downing of Tallahassee, Florida, born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, who passed away on July 16, 2020 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Pearse Auter, Sr. and Lola James Roberts Auter. She is survived by: her husband Lawrence Edward Downing, Sr.; her children, Lawrence Edward Downing, Jr. (Rebecca) and Catherine Elaine Downing Wolf (Peter); her grandson Brandon Wolf; her siblings, James Auter (Nancy), Chris Auter (Stacey Crawford) and Barbara Dial (Alan); her half-sister Patsy Martin; and her sister-in-law Deborah Ann Auter. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 guidelines, face masks and social distancing will be required.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Joe Griffin Media Ministries, 1821 South River Road, St. Charles, Missouri, 63303-4124.
