He is survived by: his close friend Filnara Derrington; his children, Reggie Watkins (Lynetta), Lawana Briggs and Tanya Briggs Baker (Steve); his granddaughters, Dr. Simone Bruce and Ashley Lyles; his great grandchildren, Kaiden, Kairo, Aleah and Ariah; his nephew Howard Gholson (Glorine); his great-niece Debbie Wright; and his great-nephew Jay Gholson.
